Work Ethic Ratings

Work Ethic

The day after winning the Super Bowl with the San Francisco 49’ers, Jerry Rice, wide receiver was out running routes to improve his game. You see, for some athletes work ethic is an obsession. So if you are trying to recruit a college championship team you want to fill it with people that have the work ethic of  people like Jerry Rice.

Work ethic is something that is typically developed before a kid hits a college campus.  Occasionally you will get someone that will be able to shed 17 – 19 years of bad work habits for something more but you can’t count on it.  You can’t miss a kid with work ethic because they are excelling somewhere in their life far past any of their peers simply because they work harder and longer than anyone else.

On the field they’re that kid that plays hard through every play.  Off the field they are the one that’s working hard during the season and training hard after the season is over.

It’s work ethic that helped a young man like Ryan Stoutt get offers from 24 schools (20 at QB, 4 at Safety) even though he didn’t start at QB his senior year.  It’s work ethic that keeps a young man studying game film even when other teammates have left the room. Our rating system is designed to measure work ethic both on and off of the field because we believe that they matter to the coach that is recruiting the student and the teammates that the athlete will play with over the course of their college career.
